The CCICC was present in the welcoming reception of the National Baseball Team of Cuba to Canadian soil hosted by the Mayor of Montreal, Mr. Denis Coderre at Montreal City Hall.

The CCICC participated in the first match between Quebec’s team, Les Capitales and the Cuban National Team as part of the CAN-AM League tournament in Canada and the US.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Canada, Julio Garmendia, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Philippe Couillard and the Mayor, Mr. Labeaume launched the first ball of the inaugural game on June 9th, 2016. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Canada-Cuba had the great honor of launching the first ball of the second match on June 10th, 2016.
The bus that transported the Cuban National Team in Canada and the US was sponsored by Terracam-MCI, both members of the CCICC.
