It’s with deep sorrow that we have recently learned the passing of Fidel Castro. His contributions in the fields of economics, culture, education and healthcare are numerous and indisputable. As the President of the Republic of Cuba, he touched the hearts and minds of hundreds of people beyond his native island.
We extend our deepest condolences to Fidel Castro’s family and to the Cuban people. We join the Prime Minister of Canada in his support and sympathy to all the Cubans all over the world.
