The Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA), Elba Rosa Pérez Montoya represented Cuba at the 25th edition of the Montreal Conference which took place from June 10 to 13, 2019.
The Montreal Conference is an event organized annually since 1995 by the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA), which aims to generate information exchange and promote open discussions on the most important economic issues, with a particular focus on the relations between the Americas and other continents.
As part of the official visit to Montreal, the Cuban Minister met with the Minister of International Relations and Francophonie of Quebec, Nadine Girault, who expressed her interest to continue the collaboration and exchanges with Cuba on topics related to tourism, energy, agriculture and climate change.
