Paul Stott, a man who was instrumental in improving access to food in Cuba, has just passed away.
The respected businessman had been the head of Reuven International Ltd (Reuven), a family-owned poultry import and trading company, since 1982. Reuven is currently active in this field with a turnover of about USD 100 million per year. In 1995, the company established Coracán, a joint venture with the Cuban Ministry of Food. Through this joint venture and Reuven International’s exports, Cubans have had better access to jelly, soft drinks, tea, custard, milk chocolate, high performance athlete drinks and ice cream mixes, and of course chicken.
Throughout his career, Paul Stott never ceased to help and support the companies and people who work there.
CCICC extends its deep condolences to his family and friends, and we would like to assure them that they are not alone in their hour of grief.
