The Minister of Industry of Cuba Mr. Salvador Pardo Cruz was visiting Canada from 11th to 16th of June, with a participation at the Conference of Montreal and the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary. During his visit to Québec, the Minister and his delegation Participated in the Conference of Montreal organized by the International Economic Forum of the Americas. At the Conference of Montreal, the Minister held talks with Prime Minister Philippe Couillard, Minister of International Relations Mrs Christine St-Pierre, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr Pierre Arcand, the ministers of Education, Economics and Security, as well as many other personalities present at the event. The Cuban Minister also took the opportunity to meet with Canadian companies, including potential investors in some current and future development projects in Cuba.
The Cuban Delegation was composed of Mr. Salvador Pardo Cruz – Minister of Industry, Mr. Rosell Guerra – Director of Renewable Energies of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Mr. Ciro Monné – Head of North America at Ministry of Foreign Trade, Mr. Julio Garmendia – Ambassador of Cuba to Canada, Ms. Mara Bilbao Diaz – Consul General of Cuba in Montreal and Ms. Christina Ramos – Economic Advisor of the Embassy of Cuba in Canada.
